Mobile advertising group SilverBack Media will today annouce the $2m (£1m) acquisition of French rival FollowCom which will help make it one of the largest mobile marketing group in France.
This is the second major acquisition for the Plus-quoted group ince it taised just over £2m in a float last November.
The group's first purchase was Cellcast Interactif for £1m, whcihi also operated in the mobile advertising market in France.
SilverBack creates mobile ads and promotional material for global brands such as Adidas and Coca-Cola.
Chief executive and founder Martin Doane said: "This acquisition solidifies our position as a leading mobile marketing network and brings further innovative mobile marketing solutions."
Doane, formerly a litigation lawyer, added that the acquisition will bring with it an "impressive list of clients" such as L'Oreal, Maybelline and Renault.
