MYSPACE band The Revelations have amanged to acheive Radio 2's album of the week award, without signing a record deal.
The London-based girl group are now set to storm the charts after thousands of copies fo their abum were sold on Apple's iTunes Music Store and other online sites. The ban members - Sarah Vitorino, 22, Annika Magnberg, 23 and Louisa Masters, 24 - model themselves on 60s girl bands such as the Ronnettes. The girls started out by running a club night at Notting Hill Arts Club.
Singer Masters said: "We haven't ruled out signing a big record deal in teh future if anyone wants us."
